SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS FOR BANGOR CITY GAME

By Dave Jones on Jan 29, 10 11:25 PM

SECURITY arrangements have been agreed between Bangor City, Rhyl FC and the relevant authorities for the Welsh Premier League match at Farrar Road on Sunday, February 7, 2.30pm kick-off.
Here are the main points:

* Admission to the area of the ground reserved for Rhyl supporters will be by payment of the admission charge, and production of a special "match token" available from Rhyl FC.
* The tokens clearly state that, only those with the token will be allowed into the ground area reserved for the Rhyl supporters - no token, no entry.
* Entrance for the Rhyl fans on the day will be through a dedicated 'turnstile' located off Sackville Road and by access through the former Wheels Van Hire land.
* This entrance will allow the away fans into the area formerly occupied by the Creche (Wendy House). It is only in this area that the Rhyl fans will be allowed. Within this self-contained area, temporary toilets and catering facilities will be available.
* Harris fencing will surround this area, with ensuring that the former St Paul's End is out of bounds, fencing will be erected by the groundsman's shed across to the perimeter wall.
* Similar fencing will be erected on the other side of the St Paul's End, by the 'Television Studio' to prevent any 'home' fans from going behind the St Paul's End at any time and, thus, the complete area behind the St Paul's End goal will be a sterile area.
* Home' fans will have full access to the High Street terracing and behind the Farrar Road goal plus the stand area.
* Fencing will also be erected behind the Farrar Road goal to ensure Bangor fans are a reasonable and safe distance away from behind the actual goal.
* There will be no half time movement of fans between goals.
* There will also be an enhanced security presence at the match. Fans are urged to arrive early to avoid congestion at the turnstiles.
Many thanks to Bangor City for providing this information.
