MILNER - "NO PLAYERS HAVE ASKED TO LEAVE"

RHYL FC managing director Dave Milner insists no players have asked to leave Belle Vue despite the club's current financial crisis.
Rumours are rife that the departure of the Welsh Premier League champions' main benefactor, president Peter Parry, has led to a number of Lilywhites players seeking better wage deals at other clubs.
But Milner says strenuous efforts are being made to work with the squad on agreeing on a financial package to see out the season, with a satisfactory deal appearing to have been reached.
The Lilywhites are struggling to keep hold of their WPL crown after just two wins in their last 11 outings have sent them down to fifth place.
"I can't comment on whether our players have been asking around elsewhere, but from the club's point of view no-one has asked to be released," said Milner.
"We are determined to ensure the club will find funding for the rest of the season - I believe we will do so - and we are also looking ahead to next season and ways we can progress."
Milner said the club is keen to attract a main sponsor for next season, adding outgoing president Parry will retain a financial input.
As for the gloom surrounding the Lilies' recent results, Milner added: "We are still in every competition. We believe we still have a good chance of qualifying for Europe through the league, we are in the League Cup final and the last 16 of the Welsh Cup.
"A lot of clubs in the Welsh Premier wouldn't mind swapping places with Rhyl right now."

well done to Dave Milner for coming forward with a statement so quickly. In the past these rumours have been allowed to fester for too long.

Having said that there are obviously some serious problems behind the scenes. Failure to qualify for Europe next season which at the moment looks very likely could leave the club in deep trouble
