LOWEST LEAGUE CROWD AT BELLE VUE SINCE 2003
![]()
LAST night's attendance of 284 was Rhyl's lowest for a league game at Belle Vue since the 2003/04 season.
There had not been such a low crowd figure for a Lilywhites home league match since November 1, 2003, when 277 saw John Hulse's side beat Welshpool 3-0.
Earlier that season, a mere 198 watched Rhyl defeat Port Talbot 2-1, but that very same campaign the Lilies attracted a record 2,741 to BV when TNS were the visitors.
Of course 2003/04 was the season where Rhyl won four trophies and the interest gathered at a rapid pace as the campaign wore on with the 1-0 win over TNS taking place in April.

Some so called "fans" want to be ashamed of themselves. There was no big football match on the TV, the weather wasnt too bad and the club need the money through the turnstiles.
The club need the fans more than ever now, there is no time for fickleness and this fairweather cr@p.
Come and support YOU team while there is still a team to support.
Rant over!!
Unfortuanately, some "fans" have been pushed away by too much politics within the club this season.
Admission prices have risen as has unemployment.
Rhyl have three home matches in eight days and some people may struggle for £24 (plus programme, brew) in these times.
Can't see the crowd being that large for Saturday's Welsh Cup tie.
"Come and support YOUr team while there is still a team to support." - Not much confidence from the RFA Chairman there either!
Well if people do stay away then there's every chance they won't have a club to support in the near future
No point complaining about attendance now, just wait until next season with more games and the prospect of watching the same team twice I believe the crowds will really dwindle!
