FOUR COULD BE SET TO LEAVE

RHYL have put in seven days notice of approach for Buxton FC midfielder Christian Millar (pictured) following revelations that up to four key players could be set to leave the Lilywhites in the coming week.
The 20-year-old signed for the Unibond Premier Division club in August 2009 after spells at Stafford Rangers and Macclesfield Town, where he made four appearances from the bench for the League Two outfit.
Millar started his career in Stoke City's youth academy system, playing through from the youngest age bracket to the under-18s side were he failed to gain a YT contract.
From there he went on several trials and open days to find a club resulting in his signing for Macc.
Lilywhites player-manager Greg Strong has also served seven days notice for a left-sided utility player and is seeking potential loan deals from Crewe Alexandra.
The Rhyl boss is restricted, however, by the rule which allows a club only to take two players on loan in the same transfer window. A club is permitted four loan players over a season.
Strong is aiming to boost numbers in the squad as four key players could be set to leave Belle Vue as the club's cash crisis continues to bite.
The Lilywhites have confirmed the four unnamed players have been subject to approaches from other North and Mid-Wales clubs.
The Welsh Premier League title holders had hoped a financial deal discussed with all the players last week would ensure the current squad remain at Belle Vue for the rest of the season, but the past few days has seen that situation change.
Tomorrow Rhyl face a crucial home clash with Gap Connah's Quay (2.30pm).
The Lilywhites, who have dropped to fifth in the Welsh Premier, are desperate for a win in these trying times to get their season back on track.
Striker Lee Hunt is still suspended while there is an injury doubt over skipper George Horan, but otherwise the Lilies should be at full strength.
Rhyl and Nomads have met 31 times in the WPL and Quay lead 14-13 on wins (four draws), but a lot of the Deesiders' successes came before the turn of the new millennium.
Rhyl are unbeaten in their last 13 league clashes with Nomads and have lost just one of their last 21 tussles in all competitions with Mark McGregor's men, the only defeat being in a League Cup semi-final first leg encounter and the Lilywhites won the return comfortably.
Quay are one of those clubs still in with a fighting chance of making the Super 12 but are by no means certain to do so.

Although bad news, I hope they, whoever thay are don't go. I speak to greg quite regularly and have every faith in him bringing in good replacements should players leave. We need massive support Tomorrow, lets show the lads that despite whats happening off the field we want then on the field.
By my understanding, none of the four players want to leave, but financial considerations have to come into account given the current situation.
Only positive, is hearing some official news about the current situation. Communication between the club and it's fan base is so poor. All these rumours about the club.
Hey, sbtule must be your middle name. Great post!
Thanks for writing such an easy-to-undesrntad article on this topic.
