DORAN-DORAN?

WITH the feared exodus of key players from Rhyl hanging over Belle Vue, Lilywhites boss Greg Strong is working around the clock to line up potential replacements.
Strong has put in seven days' notice for Technogroup Welshpool attacking midfielder Peter Doran, whose twin brother Phil is already at Belle Vue, and is chasing a Unibond League striker who was recently on the books of a Premiership club.
The Lilywhites player-boss is also set to visit League One club Oldham Athletic today with a view to taking a centre-half on loan.
Strong has been forced to seek fresh talent as the Welsh Premier champions' current cash crisis is threatening to push established players out the door.
It is believed offers have already come in from other clubs for top scorer Mark Connolly, midfield general John Leah and captain and central defender George Horan.
Others have attracted interest, but it is understood no players wants to leave the club, but the financial package on offer between now and the end of the campaign is simply not viable for some.
With just five days to go before the transfer window closes, decisions on players' futures in the champions' camp will have to be made sooner rather than later.

With Greg chasing these new players, it looks pretty inevitable that the rumoured four are set to leave Belle Vue. All four would be massive losses. Never mind, onwards and upwards!
