RHYL STRUGGLING WITH INJURIES FOR CUP CLASH
COLWYN BAY v RHYL
NORTH WALES COAST CHALLENGE CUP ROUND TWO
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 7.30pm
RHYL player-boss Greg Strong says he has little choice but to field his strongest available side for tomorrow's NWCFA Challenge Cup clash at Colwyn Bay.
"Because of injuries I'm down to the bare bones player-wise and we've been told we can't field our reserve players in the competition," said Strong.
Winger Tyrone Kirk, midfielder Paul Smith and defender Martyn Naylor are all expected to be absent for the Lilywhites, as well as longer-term casualty, top scorer Mark Connolly.
"We're looking forward to the game and hope we get the chance to get the ball down on the deck and play some football," Strong added.
Rhyl have met the Bay twice in this competition in recent seasons, winning both matches 3-0.
The Seagulls are managed by Neil Young, former number two to John Hulse at Rhyl, and currently top the Unibond League Division One North.
