STRONG VOWS CHANGES
![]()
RHYL manager Greg Strong has warned his regulars their places are under threat for Saturday's top of the table clash with Llanelli following a poor display of finishing in the weekend Welsh Cup tie against Bridgend.
Strong pulled no punches after his team needed two goals in the last 10 minutes to see off 10-man opponents from a league below.
"Places are up for grabs for Llanelli, there'll be changes," said an angry Strong after Saturday's 4-2 victory.
"We ended up struggling to win a game we should have put to bed by half time.
"This isn't a one-off for us. For a team like us that creates so many chances to miss so many is wrong - things need to get better.
"We won't get anywhere near the same amount of chances against Llanelli so we need to be more ruthless. This is the most annoyed I've felt since I became manager."
Despite the manager's disdain it was a good day for Rhyl overall for as well as qualifying for the next round they landed a home tie against Welsh League strugglers Pontardawe in the last 16 on January 30.
