"SOMEONE'S IN FOR A HIDING SOON" - STRONG

GAP CONNAH'S QUAY v RHYL
LOOSEMORES CUP SEMI-FINAL FIRST LEG
TUESDAY 7.30pm

RHYL player-boss Greg Strong has issued a stark warning to future opponents going into tomorrow's Loosemores League Cup semi-final first leg at Gap Connah's Quay (7.30pm).
Strong has been frustrated by his team's inability to score in recent matches, a typical example being Saturday's 0-0 draw with Llanelli where the Welsh Premier champions fluffed a host of chances.
"Some team is going to get a hiding off us soon," vowed Strong.
"We are creating so many chances but just not taking them. I've got full belief in these players, though, and it's only a matter of time before someone suffers."
He added: "Tuesday is a massive game for us. We know already this season from playing Connah's Quay how hard they can make it for us."
Striker Lee Hunt may come into contention for a starting place after only making the bench for the Llanelli test.
Gap player-manager Mark McGregor has called on his side for a flat-out effort.
He said: "We know what Rhyl are about and we must take full advantage of being home so that we can go there next week with everything still to play for.
"This is our window of opportunity. We conceded two second-half goals against Rhyl when we met them in the league in September after an even first half so we know what we have to do."
The Quay expect to be without striker Andy Olsen who is still troubled by a sore hamstring but welcome back Stuart Cook from FA international duty.
Recent history is certainly in Rhyl's favour as they are unbeaten in their last 18 league and cup meetings with the Nomads.
