WELSH CUP TRIP TO ANGLESEY FOR LILYWHITES
![]()
FOR the third time in seven seasons Rhyl have been drawn away to Anglesey club Llanfairpwll in the Welsh Cup.
But when the Lilywhites travel to take on the Cymru Alliance side in the second round on October 3, it will be the first time they have played at the islanders' new Maes Eilian ground.
Llanfair are currently struggling near the foot of their league but enjoyed a good 2-1 Welsh Cup win over Penycae on Saturday.
In the 2006/07 Welsh Cup, Rhyl thrashed Llanfair 6-0 at Y Gors, goals coming from Dave Cameron (2), Andy Moran, Gareth Wilson, Mark Connolly and George Horan.
Back in 2003/04, the season the Lilywhites won the cup, they ran out 4-1 winners at Llanfairpwll.

« RHYL FC - RESULTS AND GOALSCORERS 2009/10 | DORAN COULD MAKE DEBUT - MATTY MAY RETURN »

Sounds like an easy game, anyone know how to get there? Do they have any seats? Is it even worth going cause Strong might just give the reserves a go? Their website's news page hasn't even been updated since 2007 so not very high hopes then.
I love reading these aritcels because they're short but informative.
