LUKE Holden will not be leaving Rhyl - for now.
A proposed move to Championship side Coventry City has fallen through.
Although the Lilywhites and Sky Blues were well advanced in agreeing terms, the player and his agent had discussions with Coventry, and the 1987 FA Cup winners decided not to proceed with the signing.
Holden will now be in the squad for Friday's game at Airbus.
Rhyl's official website said: "Whilst all parties are disappointed they are encouraged by the fact that two other senior clubs are now interested in obtaining Luke's signature in the near future."

Thank God an encouraging bit of news at last albeit only for a short while by the sound of it.

Shame for him though. I'm sure if he carries on producing performances like that of late it won't be long before he gets his move

Agreed - thank goodness for small mercies, at least from the team's point of view. I'm sure he'll be disappointed himself but his day will come, I think it's inevitable.
I hope management are planning for his eventual departure and are lining up a suitable replacement - we need to start signing some cover.
Now to concentrate on the issue at hand and that is three more points on Friday night and a first victory next week against the same opponents.

Strong seems to have signed a good wingman from Macclesfield Town, he said he had his eyes on two players this is the first
