TEN MAGIC HUNTY MOMENTS
THE return of striker Lee Hunt has been warmly welcomed by the majority of Rhyl supporters.
Here, Lilywhites Online looks back on 10 great moments from Hunt's previous stint at Belle Vue, which lasted from December 2003 to May 2008, bringing 165 competitive appearances and 116 goals - 73 of them in the Welsh Premier League.
1 HAT-TRICK v CAERSWS - APRIL 21, 2007
On this afternoon Hunt proved that on his day he was the best striker in the Welsh Premier.
An outstanding display up front in a 4-1 victory brought the Liverpool-born front man a hat-trick which was completed by a fantastic chip over the Caersws keeper.
2 UEFA CUP HEROICS - JULY 14, 2005
Hunt's predatory instincts in the box were at their best as he scored twice to earn Rhyl a 2-1 victory over FK Atlantas of Lithuania in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round, first leg. Despite losing 3-2 in the return in Klapieda, Rhyl went through on away goals.
3 DREAM TEAM INCLUSION TWICE
Only the very best players get chosen for the Welsh Premier League "Dream Team" announced at the end of each season.
Hunt made the line-up in both 2004/05 and 2006/07.
4 DRUIDS DESTROYED - APRIL 23, 2005
One of Hunt's deadliest displays came on the last day of the 2004/05 season when he netted a 14-minute hat trick in a 3-0 victory at NEWI Cefn Druids.
Hunt was replaced at half time, his job having been well and truly done.
5 100TH GOAL FOR RHYL - NOV 18, 2007
Hunt's second goal in a convincing 7-2 triumph at Caersws was his 100th in all competitions for the Lilywhites.
6 DOING THE HAKA - JULY 17, 2007
In what was one of Rhyl's finest displays under John Hulse, Hunt scored in a 3-1 home win over FC Haka of Finland in the UEFA Cup first qualifying round.
The striker's goal just before half time to make it 2-1 to the Lilies instigated the picture of the season as Hunt celebrated manically in a burst towards the Rhyl fans.
7 WHERE IT ALL STARTED - JANUARY 3, 2004
Rhyl fans soon realised Hulse had signed a diamond when Hunt bagged his first goal for the club - a neat chip over Lee Kendall - in a 1-1 home draw with Haverfordwest.
He went on to score for six league matches in a row in a dynamic up front partnership with Andy Moran. Many Rhyl fans felt the signing of Hunt was the final piece in the jigsaw as the Lilywhites went on to win the Welsh Premier League for the first time.
8 CUP HEROICS IN VAIN - APRIL 30, 2008
Hunt weighed in with a cracking double against Llanelli in the 2007/08 Welsh Cup semi-finals.
The only problem was the Reds had an even more prolific marksman in Rhys Griffiths whose hat-trick led his side to a 5-2 victory.
9 WELSH CUP SEMI-FINAL TURNAROUND - APRIL 8, 2006
Rhyl were trailing 1-0 to Port Talbot in the 2005/06 Welsh Cup semi-final when two quick goals from Chris Sharp and Hunt, who were outstanding up front that day, turned the tables.
Port equalised and the tie went into extra time, but Rhyl prevailed on penalties with keeper John Gann the hero.
10 COFIS OUTCLASSED - APRIL 13, 2005
Andy Moran's ban meant he had missed much of the 2004/05 season, but towards the end of the campaign he and Hunt reignited their spark in attack.
On this night at The Oval, Rhyl hammered Caernarfon 4-1 with both men scoring two apiece, Hunt showing his class with two terrific strikes.
* Should also have mentioned his two goals at TNS in 2004/05, a game which finished 2-2 but Rhyl deserved to win, and a hat-trick at home against Cardiff Grange Quins in 2005/06.

He missed the second leg at Klaipeda...away on holiday. Always gave his all when he did turn up though.
He should continue with (controlled) aggression as a striker. The only thing he should try to cut out is the retaliatory frustration when things don't go right - like clattering keepers a full 5 seconds after they catch the ball. We can't afford to be down to 10 men or have loads of suspensions with a smaller squad.
On holiday in Accrington if my memory serves me right
Accrington Stanley? Who are they?
