LILYWHITES CONCERNS OVER EASTER MONDAY DERBY

By Dave Jones on Apr 3, 09 10:36 PM

RHYL have expressed concerns to Welsh Premier League secretary John Deakin after it became known that police will be unable to provide personnel for the club's Easter Monday local derby at Prestatyn Town, reports www.welsh-premier.com
The reverse fixture over the festive season attracted the season's highest gate of 2,126 and, with the Lilywhites chasing the league title, another bumper crowd is expected at Bastion Road.
"I have stressed to John Deakin that we feel our friends at Prestatyn should be requested to take heed of our concerns," says Joe Furnival, secretary of Rhyl, who are facing several FAW charges over spectator behaviour at home and away games this season.
Rhyl have also announced that segregation will be in place for their visit to Llanelli on April 11, when fans will not be allowed to stand behind either goal.
On the instructions of the FAW, the home match against The New Saints on April 18 will also be fully segregated and there will be no migration between ends at half time.
