SEAN Morgan's 90th minute decider clinched Rhyl a place in the Barritt Cup semi-finals at the expense of unlucky Abergele.
A date with Conwy United now awaits in the semi-finals for Jon Stazicker's side on Easter Monday.
The reserves were fortunate to make it into the last four as Clwyd League underdogs Gele, who had two players dismissed, were the better team on the whole.
Reserves top scorer Mike Roose was denied by Rovers custodian Jason Harris at his near post before the visitors took a 27th minute lead when home keeper Paul Pritchard's clearance finished up in the net off striker James Davies.
Rovers started the second half the stronger and Morgan had to block a Danny Abbott header on the line before the game turned when Gele's Callum Hardy and Danny Campbell were red-carded for dissent.
On 61 minutes Rhyl equalised when Jack Roberts played the ball into the box and Tom Patel scored on the turn.
Extra time loomed until Morgan's 25-yarder flew into the bottom right-hand corner to clinch a home victory.
