"REPORTS OF MY DEMISE ARE GREATLY EXAGGERATED"
RHYL FC secretary Joe Furnival has NOT left the club.
Following Rhyl's expulsion from the North Wales Challenge Cup last week, rumours were rife that the "Big Fella" had quit his post when he was absent from the Lilywhites game against Caernarfon at Belle Vue on Saturday.
But Joe has contacted Lilywhites Online to explain he took a week off from his club duties on compassionate grounds.
His 16-year-old grandson has undergone serious spinal surgery in Nottingham Hospital and Joe travelled down to support the family.
The secretary is also flying over to Germany to look after business interests, but will soon be back in business with Rhyl FC.
