THIS Saturday brings the 27th Welsh Cup meeting between long-standing North Wales coast rivals Bangor City and Rhyl.
The most recent clash came in the 2006 final at the Racecourse, Wrexham, when the Lilywhites won 2-0 thanks to goals from Andy Moran (penalty) and Gareth Wilson.
The previous meeting was in 2001/02 at Belle Vue when two Simon Davies goals in a 2-1 victory put Bangor into round three.
In overall Welsh Cup tussles going back to 1884/85, Bangor lead by 14 wins to nine with four drawn matches.
