WILL THE TRAETH SURVIVE THE RAIN?

By Dave Jones on Sep 5, 08 11:40 AM

PORTHMADOG v RHYL
WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2008 - 7.30pm

WEATHER permitting, top of the table Rhyl will look to bounce back to winning ways at Y Traeth this evening.
Tuesday's 2-1 League Cup defeat to Welshpool was a bit of a wake-up call following the euphoria over the Lilywhites' stunning 5-1 victory over champions Llanelli last Saturday.
Senior coach Allan Bickerstaff is expected to revert to the perceived strongest starting line-up for the visit to winless Porthmadog.
The last time these teams met was on the final day of last season when Port desperately needed a win to stay in the WPL and did so thanks to Richard Hughes' goal.
Rhyl and Porthmadog have met 18 times in the LoW/WPL and the Lilies lead by nine wins to six with three draws.
