RHYL RESERVES 5 (J Roberts 9 & 51; Roose 32; Millington 40; Hughes 65)
NANTLLE VALE 2 (T Roberts og 36; R Davies 79)
WELSH ALLIANCE LEAGUE - SEPTEMBER 16, 2008

IT ended up 5-2 but it should have been 15-2 to Jon Stazicker's side such were the number of chances they created at a rain-soaked Belle Vue last night.
Rhyl broke the deadlock on nine minutes when a cross from the left by Scott Millington was spilled by Nantlle keeper Guto Roberts and Jack Roberts sidefooted home from 12 yards.
Gareth Hughes miskicked completely when clean through, then Millington and Mike Roose missed sitters as the Vale defence was at sixes and sevens trying to cope with the lively Lilies attack.
Roose was denied by the bravery of keeper Roberts then blasted over a shot on the turn before Rhyl's leading marksman notched his seventh goal of the season.
On 32 minutes Tom Patel's cross from the right was headed in via the crossbar by Roose, who would have scored six on another night.
Totally against the run of play Nantlle pulled one back after 36 minutes when James Daly fed the ball forward and Rhyl defender Tom Roberts inadvertently knocked it past advancing custodian Paul Pritchard to record an own goal.
A minute later Justin Pierce brought down Patel in the area and Roose struck the resulting penalty well but Roberts produced a superb save diving to his left.
Adam France had a netbound effort blocked, but on 40 minutes the hosts made it 3-1 with a fantastic goal.
Sean Morgan's corner from the left was only cleared as far as Millington who won a tackle, slipped a challenge and rifled a tremendous left foot shot beyond Roberts from 15 yards.
The home pressure continued, Hughes denied a goal when his close range effort looked to have crossed the line before the luckless Roose rattled the crossbar after receiving a quickly-taken Patel free-kick.
HALF-TIME: 3-1.
Six minutes into the second stanza Rhyl added a fourth when Jack Roberts' shot found the net via a deflection and the woodwork.
Hughes headed in a Millington cross from close range on 65 minutes, but after that Rhyl understandably took their foot off the gas.
Pritchard saved well from Osian Pritchard before in the 79th minute Richard Davies pulled one back for the Penygroes lads.
Near the end Rhyl sub Ben Bucknall went close from a long range stinger, but 5-2 was the final outcome.
RHYL RESERVES: Pritchard, Ahern (Bucknall 75), Morgan, France, T Roberts, J Roberts, Patel, Heenan (Ross 75), Hughes (Griffiths 72), Roose, Millington.
