AMLWCH TOWN 0
WELSH ALLIANCE LEAGUE - SEPTEMBER 20, 2008

THEY'RRRRRRRRE greaaa-eight! No, not Kelloggs Frosties - Jon Stazicker's Rhyl Reserves!
Stazicker could not hide his delight after his team completed a fifth straight victory and a seventh win in eight starts on Saturday.
Rhyl remain eight points clear at the top of the Welsh Alliance and although second-placed Bethesda have five games in hand, the Lilies have the points in the bag.
"The attitude and performance of the team at the moment is outstanding," said Stazicker. "The football we are playing is of the highest quality and I'm so proud. I think with every performance as a team we can only get better and stronger."
It took the hosts 15 minutes to make the breakthrough against bottom side Amlwch and by that time they could easily have been 6-0 up!
Matthew Williams, building up his fitness for the first team, struck the woodwork twice before James Hay drove in the opener from the edge of the box.
Three minutes later Scott Millington's cross to the far post was headed in by Chris Roberts to make it 2-0.
Millington's first time shot from a Tom Patel centre stretched the home lead in the 23rd minute, then Williams rattled the bar.
When Millington's shot was handled on the line by Gerallt Jones - who somehow avoided a red card - a penalty was awarded but Wilson's kick hit the post.
The fourth goal was just around the corner, though, a solo run from Gareth Hughes setting up Williams to score and make it 4-0 at the interval.
Five minutes into the second period the very much in-form Jack Roberts scored with a tremendous 25-yard free-kick which gave the keeper no chance.
It was not long before top marksman Mike Roose got in on the act. With 55 minutes on the clock, second half substitute Roose showed great skill to flick the ball past a defender and finish with style to deliver the half dozen.
Joe Ahern's cross was converted at close range by Roose in the 68th minute to bring the scorer his ninth of the campaign.
Ten minutes from time substitute Craig Griffiths headed in Millington's cross and it should have been double figures before the end, Alun Jones denying Roose a treble with a great save, then Hay and Ahern going close again.

Team: Paul Pritchard, Joe Ahern, Tom Roberts, Chris Roberts, Gareth Wilson, Jack Roberts, James Hay, Tom Patel (Ben Bucknall 60), Scott Millington, Gareth Hughes (Craig Griffiths 60), Matty Williams (Mike Roose 45). Unused subs: Adam France, Sean Morgan.
