"WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT" - MILNER

By Dave Jones on Jun 15, 08 09:45 PM

RHYL FC managing director Dave Milner is appealing for more Lilywhites fans to buy tickets for the home Intertoto Cup clash with Bohemian on June 28.
"By June 12 less than 200 tickets had been sold to Rhyl fans for the home game against Bohemian," said Mr Milner.
"This compares with 500 sold by Bohemian to their travelling fans and they are requesting more.
"This game is an all-ticket and all-seated match with the total number of tickets available for sale being 1,600. I would appeal to all Rhyl fans that have yet to buy their ticket to do so as soon as possible. "
"Tickets will not be for sale on the night so to avoid disappointment please get your ticket now. We want to make sure that the hundreds of loyal Rhyl fans give the team their great support and maximise our chance of getting through to the next round.
"This potential problem was anticipated and a discount of £2.50 was offered to any Rhyl fan purchasing a £15 ticket during May. Unfortunately there was a very poor response to this offer. The increase of £2.50 over last year's price will help further development of the infrastructure at Belle Vue."
Tickets are on sale at the Belle Vue shop and office for cash or cheque. They can also be purchased at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre. The phone number is 01745 330000 and tickets can be bought using credit or debit cards.

Has Mr Milner stopped to think that maybe this is a 'reaction' by loyal fans to the uncertainty around who/which players are actually going be available to pull on the white shirt for this match? Have spoke to quite a few who definately feel this way especially as tickets are costing £20

I kind of understand the concerns, but isn't all this uncertainty just a result of an unfortunate set of circumstances (i.e. JH departure, players wanting to move on?)
The Euro ties invariably draws several hundred faces who make 1 visit to BV all season. I don't think many of these give a toss who is wearing the white shirt or who manages Rhyl.
