KENDALL COMMITS HIMSELF TO RHYL
RHYL have received a massive tonic on the eve of their Intertoto Cup clashes with Bohemian with the news goalkeeper Lee Kendall has signed a four-year contract which keeps him at Belle Vue until July 14, 2012.
The decision represents a major U-turn from the former Wales Under-21 international who had initially indicated his wish to quit the Lilywhites after the European ties.
Kendall previously said he wanted to spend more time with his mother in South Wales as the family come to terms with the recent sudden death of Lee's father Mark, the former Tottenham keeper.
However, the 27-year-old one-time Crystal Palace, Cardiff City and Barry Town custodian has now decided Rhyl is the club for him.
"Lee is happy at Rhyl but has considered his options following the recent sad loss of his father but he now feels that his football future is at Rhyl FC," said club secretary Joe Furnival.
"The directors are delighted at Lee's decision."
