BIG PLANS IN THE PIPELINE

By Dave Jones on Jun 23, 08 12:47 PM

RHYL FC will unveil a major new signing this week.
The player will be well known to North Wales football fans and has competed at a significantly higher level than the Welsh Premier.
He will be the first in a number of "significant signings" the Lilywhites will announce in the next fortnight.
Club president Peter Parry said he is determined to move the club on to a new level, adding there are mitigating circumstances behind Rhyl's current struggles in the Intertoto Cup.
He said: "We all understand our European adventure this time round has been difficult under extreme constraints:the restrictions in signing new players to strengthen the team before European games (the imposed transfer deadline of July 4 has not assisted the Welsh teams competing in Europe); senior players' injuries and a limited inherited squad."
"I more than anyone else have witnessed the extraordinary work behind the scenes and the huge investment made in the club over the past few years and currently being made."
Rhyl's new management structure is: managing director - Dave Milner, football secretary - Joe Furnival, director of football - Jamie Digwood, head coach - Osian Roberts, senior coach - Allan Bickerstaff.
"The new structure gives us the platform for a very bright future," added Peter Parry.
"We will be making some significant signings during the next couple of weeks, the first of which will be announced this week.
"An interesting observation/quote from a senior potential new signing 'The coaching/management structure at your Club is second to none, probably the best in Wales, including the professional clubs of Cardiff and Swansea.'
Mr Parry added: "The time has come to move the club to a new level. Watch this space!"
