RHYL THE BEST SUPPORTED CLUB - AGAIN

By Dave Jones on Apr 22, 08 11:42 PM

RHYL are the best supported club in the Welsh Premier League for a fifth successive season.
The Lilywhites' average crowd of 477 per league game in 2007/08 put them ahead of second placed Bangor City (446) and TNS in third (386).
New Welsh Premier champions Llanelli had only the fourth highest average (375).

Although Rhyl's 2007/08 average turnout is down on last season's figure, they still comfortably remain the number one draw in the WPL.
The Lilies' highest attendance in 2007/08 was 722, with the top league figure belonging to TNS (946) although on that day the Saints were giving free entry to youngsters.
Rhyl comfortably boast the WPL's all-time record of attendance of 2,741 for a title decider against TNS at Belle Vue in 2003/04.
Rhyl's average attendances for past five seasons:
2007/08 - 477
2006/07 - 492
2005/06 - 476
2004/05 - 597.
2003/04 - 586.
