THREE POINTS CAN SEAL EURO PLACE

By Dave Jones on Mar 23, 08 04:22 PM

RHYL v PORTHMADOG
WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE
EASTER MONDAY 2.30pm

VICTORY over struggling Porthmadog tomorrow could clinch third place for Rhyl in the Welsh Premier - and boost the Lilywhites' outside chance of pinching runners-up spot.
If Bangor City fail to win at Neath and the Lilies take all three points against next-to-bottom Port, Rhyl will seal European qualification.

Lilywhites manager John Hulse is well aware of the importance of tomorrow's tussle at Belle Vue and insists thoughts of next weekend's Welsh Cup semi-final against Llanelli are at the back of his mind.
"I won't even start to think about Llanelli until after we play Porthmadog," said Hulse.
"Depending on other results, three points will clinch us a place in Europe for a fifth successive season."
Rhyl are expected to field the same squad which beat Caersws on Saturday, although defender Carl Ruffer could come into the reckoning after a bout of illness.
"He's been training and we're hopeful he might be involved at some stage, but it's looking a bit iffy," Hulse added.
