NEW LOWE FOR RHYL

MORE away day disappointment for Rhyl as they crashed to a 1-0 defeat at Maes Dulyn where keeper Paul Lowe was the home team's hero.
With talented Canadian brothers Dylan and Kevin Hughes making their debuts and 16 players available, including first team squad members, Rhyl manager Jon Stazicker was well equipped for the test, but it was not to be.

Dylan Hughes blasted over early on, then a Gareth Wilson cross to the back post was headed inches wide by Paul O'Neill.
Mike Roose also went close before Nantlle grabbed a 37th minute lead, Gwyn Jones with a lovely chip from the edge of the box over John Gann.
Scott Millington and Roose had opportunities to equalise before the break, but both were off target.
In the second half Rhyl totally dominated but could not find a way past Lowe.
A nice solo run by Andy Booker should have produced a goal but the Vale keeper saved well at his feet.
Booker went nearer with a header from a Wilson corner which was cleared off the line, and O'Neill suffered in similar circumstances soon after.
Nantlle remained dangerous at times, Gann doing well to deny Aaron Hughes with his feet.
Lowe thwarted Roose well at the foot of the post then from the rebound the Vale custodian kept the ball out yet again.
It summed up Rhyl's day when a great ball from the outside of his boot by Wilson found Joe Ahern who cut in from the right but his low drive struck the inside of the post.
From a corner Booker made contact with his head at the far stick but Lowe went down sharply and held on to the ball on the goal-line.
That man Lowe beat away two more Booker shots and an O'Neill attempt, then Rhyl's frustration boiled over when Millington was red carded for remarks made to the referee in the last 10 minutes.
A disappointing end to an infuriating afternoon for Rhyl with one man standing between them and three comfortable points.
RHYL: John Gann, Sean Morgan, Scott Millington, Paul O'Neill, Adam France, Joe Ahern, Gareth Wilson, Kevin Hughes, Mike Roose, Dylan Hughes, Andrew Booker. Subs: Phil Coffin, Tom Roberts, Jack Roberts, Sam Brewerton, Alec Williams.
