IT WILL BE A TEST AT HAVERFORDWEST

By Dave Jones on Feb 1, 08 05:33 PM

HAVERFORDWEST COUNTY v RHYL
WELSH CUP ROUND FOUR
SATURDAY 2.30pm
IT promises to be a tough assignment for Rhyl when they visit New Bridge Meadow tomorrow to take on Haverfordwest in the last 16 of the Welsh Cup.
This will be the third time the teams have met in the competition's history. In 1986/87 Rhyl won 1-0 in a replay after a 2-2 draw, then in 1992/93 the Lilies triumphed 2-0 at Bridge Meadow en route to the final.

Striker Marc Lloyd Williams will miss tomorrow's game as he is cup-tied having appeared for Newtown in earlier rounds. News is awaited on the fitness of Stuart Graves while it is hoped leading scorer Lee Hunt will be available following his scoring comeback against Bangor in midweek.
Rhyl goalkeeper Lee Kendall will return to his old stomping ground for the second time this season, having played in the 1-1 league draw at Haverfordwest in September.
Last Saturday, the Lilywhites gained a psychological advantage by beating the Bluebirds 2-0 at Belle Vue in the Welsh Premier. County will be without suspended top marksman Jack Christopher.
"They are a different side at home," said Rhyl manager John Hulse. "I don't expect them to be as cagey as they were on Saturday,"
