MORAN'S MAGIC MOMENTS
ANDY Moran left Rhyl this week after seven seasons at Belle Vue which saw him score 155 goals in 226 full appearances.
What a pity he could not have netted one more league goal to reach 100 for the club, but there were so many other highlights from his stint with the Lilywhites. Here are just a few....
December 2001: Joins Rhyl from Bamber Bridge and scores on debut in 2-1 win at Haverfordwest County.
April 2002: Ends season with 14 goals.
May 2003: Grabs 27 goals during season and is part of Rhyl side which beats Bangor City in League Cup Final to secure club's biggest trophy in Welsh football for 50 years.
Jan 2004: Scores first hat-trick for Lilywhites in famous 5-3 home win over Aberystwyth Town.
April 2004: Nets another trio in Welsh Cup semi-final against Cwmbran.
April 2004: In front of WPL record crowd of 2,741, Moran nabs late winner which beats TNS in title decider.
May 2004: Scores second goal in 2-0 victory at Porthmadog which secures Welsh Premier League championship.
May 2004: Grabs hat-trick as Rhyl lift the League Cup with a 4-0 victory over Carmarthen Town.
May 2005: Ends season in fine form with nine goals in eight games.
July 2005: Makes European debut for Rhyl in UEFA Cup, featuring in famous away goals aggregate win over FK Atlantas.
May 2006: Scores opening goal in 2-0 Welsh Cup Final victory over Bangor City at Wrexham.
July 2007: Has one of his best games in a Rhyl shirt, scoring in 3-1 first leg home win over Finnish full-timers FC Haka in UEFA Cup.

Port, TNS game, Haka....only one you forgot was at Llanfairpwll. Scored the first of the six goals after dispossessing the defender from an impossible angle and settled all the nerves.
Did that trick well..dispossessing defenders who are messing around on the ball - like he did at Klaipeda and passed back for Adamson to cross for Greg's goal..magic moments
Andy did score a lot of penalties so take away all those and I'd say Lee Hunt is a better striker as the majority (if not all) of his have come from open play. My favourite Moran moment was his goal in a friendly against Stoke which finished 5-3 to Rhyl, it was a phenomenal volley into the top corner.
