EXCLUSIVE - GREG STONES BACK AT RHYL!
UTILITY player Greg Stones has re-signed for Rhyl today, Lilywhites Online can reveal.
Stones, 25, first joined the Lilies in the 2004 close season from West Cheshire League Poulton Vics and went on to make 58 league appearances for John Hulse's side, also representing Rhyl in Europe before going full-time with TNS in the summer of 2006.
He left the Saints at the end of 2006/07 after winning a championship medal and had a trial with Crewe Alexandra, also attracting the interest of Swansea City before signing for Stafford Rangers.
Stones has been at Unibond Division One South club Cammell Laird this season but he was set to return to Belle Vue a few weeks ago before Lairds offered him better terms.
However, Rhyl manager Hulse revealed Stones has now had a change of mind.
"I had a deal done a few weeks ago which fell through, but he's come back to me asking if the offer is still on the table and I've been able to push the transfer through in quick time," revealed Hulse.
"He is available for Saturday's game against Haverfordwest."
