LLANELLI 2 (Griffiths 40, C Jones 69)
PETER Nicholas' Llanelli side gained an early psychological blow in the Welsh Premier title race with a hard fought win at Belle Vue.
Although Rhyl controlled possession for long periods, it was the Reds who produced the more clinical finishing and stretched their unbeaten league run over the Lilywhites to six matches.

SATURDAY, 2.30pm
ALTHOUGH Rhyl will have happy memories of their last meeting with Saturday's opponents Llanelli, the Lilywhites' recent record against the South Wales Reds is nothing to write home about.
Back in April, a 2-2 draw at Belle Vue was enough to clinch the Lilies second place in the WPL and a UEFA Cup spot, leaving Peter Nicholas' side having to be content with an Inter-Toto Cup berth.

HALKYN UNITED 1 (Abraham 80)
RHYL RESERVES 2 (Roose 51, Booth 60 pen)
ALTHOUGH not as impressive as in their opening day win at Pwllheli, Rhyl still had enough firepower to claim another three points at Pant Newydd on Tuesday.
After a goal-less first-half, the Lilywhites were 2-0 up by the hour mark courtesy of Mike Roose and Mitchell Booth, and although Halkyn nabbed an 80th minute consolation, it was the visitors who took the spoils.

BANGOR CITY 0
RHYL 1 (Hunt 72)
LEAGUE CHALLENGE CUP GROUP TWO
LEE Hunt's 72nd minute header secured Rhyl their ninth straight victory over Bangor tonight (Tuesday).
In a tight, physical game at Farrar Road, the Lilywhites nearly always had the upper hand in the attacking sense and deservedly claimed three points.

Phil Coffin
PWLLHELI 1 (Farr 43)
RHYL RESERVES 3 (Roose 17, Coffin 48, 55)
ON a ground where they lost 2-1 on the opening day of last season, Rhyl's new management team of Jon Stazicker and James Ainsworth could not have wished for a better start.
Two goals from first-team squad signing Phil Coffin and another by the prolific Mike Roose got the Lilywhites' campaign in the Welsh Alliance off to a tremendous beginning.

Lee Kendall in action RHYL 2 (Kelly 40, Hunt 54)
CARMARTHEN TOWN 1 (Hicks 90)
ONLY a wonder display from Carmarthen keeper Neil Thomas and some wayward finishing denied Rhyl a much larger victory in this season's opener at Belle Vue.
The Lilywhites missed a glut of second-half chances against a visiting side which will consider itself fortunate it escaped with a 2-1 defeat.
