HULSE PAYS TRIBUTE TO RHYL FANS

JOHN Hulse believes Rhyl's fanatical supporters played a major role in his team coming back from a goal down to beat FC Haka 3-1 in last Thursday's UEFA Cup first leg clash.
The Lilies boss said his players needed a lift after the Finns took a 15th minute lead - and they certain got it from the partisan crowd.
"The crowd were brilliant anyway, but when we went a goal down they really rallied round us and made even more noise.
"The players really appreciated that, and it inspired us to come back and win the game."
The attendance of 1,787 did not quite beat Rhyl's European record 1,812 which saw them play Skonto Riga in the Champions League in 2004/05, but if the Lilywhites do progress to qualifying round two of this season's UEFA Cup, what price a highest ever crowd turning out!

Great appreciation from the team and JH at the end to come over and applaud us, it makes it even more rewarding.
If we do get through then I reckon we could get 2500+ with enough promotion of the match.
