DECISIONS STILL AWAITED ON WHITE AND BELLE

By Dave Jones on Jul 1, 07 05:27 PM

RHYL FC is still awaiting confirmation on whether two top quality players will be signing for them.
New Zealander Michael White has been training with the Lilywhites, but is also attracting the attention of two Football League clubs.

White, 20, recently moved back to the UK, where he was born, with his family. He has played for top Kiwi clubs Waitakere United and Cantebury United and can operate in various midfield and attacking roles on the left or in the centre.
White was also a part of the New Zealand under-20 and under-17 teams. He joined Australian A-League side New Zealand Knights in 2006 before switching to Waitakere.
"Michael is really pleased and pleasantly surprised by the professional set-up here at Rhyl, but he's said two league clubs are showing an interest," said manager John Hulse. "He's promised me if nothing develops, he will sign for Rhyl."
Meanwhile, the versatile Cortez Belle, the former Chester City and Merthyr Tydfil player released by Llanelli at the end of the season, is still on Hulse's 'possibles' list.
"I last spoke to Cortez on Wednesday and he's told me a couple of league clubs are interested, but if nothing happens he is very keen to join us," said the Lilies chief.
"My concern is with him living in Newport, travelling would be a problem."
