HULSE APPLAUDS MURTAGH SIGNING
RHYL manager John Hulse believes his former midfielder Conall Murtagh signing for Football League Two club Wrexham is a real shot in the arm for both the Lilywhites and the Welsh Premier.
Northern Ireland Under-21 international Murtagh joined the Robins on a two-year contract last Friday â just days after committing to Conference North outfit Southport.
âÂÂIâÂÂm delighted for Conall,âÂ? said Hulse. âÂÂSouthport is a big club, but I didnâÂÂt feel joining the Conference North would be a step up from the Welsh Premier.
âÂÂHowever, joining Wrexham is a big move and I know Conall will work hard and make a real go of it. He was always first to arrive for training and last to go and I wish him all the very best.âÂ?
With ex-Rhyl utility man Greg Stones also looking set to sign for League One club Crewe Alexandra, Hulse feels this reflects favourably on the Lilywhites and WPL.
