ANGLIA COMMITMENT CONFIRMED

RHYL FC is pleased to announce its main sponsors, Anglia Building and Decorating Contractors, will continue to back the club for the 2007/08 season.
There has been a lot of recent speculation in relation to the sale of Anglia to the Homeserve group, and the effect this will have on a three-year sponsorship agreement with Rhyl.
Anglia director Mike Walsh has worked tirelessly to ensure the sale of his business went smoothly, but always at the forefront of negotiations were his commitment to honouring the partnership with Rhyl FC.

“We have enjoyed tremendous exposure from being associated with Rhyl, and I personally have, and always will be, supportive of my home town football club,” said Mr Walsh.
“During discussions with Homeserve directors, I personally made the point that we will be continuing our commitment to Rhyl FC and that it was never negotiable.
“I was also adamant the Anglia name remains on the kit for this season so as to honour the commitment I made to Mal Jackson, Rhyl’s commercial director. The final year of the sponsorship will be reviewed early in 2008.
“Contrary to rumours, any dealings I have with other clubs is on a personal basis and has no bearing on Anglia’s 100% support to Rhyl FC.”
Mal Jackson commented: “Mike has always been nothing more than upfront with me, and has kept myself and Peter Parry (managing director) informed on developments at Anglia.
“We enjoy an open and honest relationship, and that is how it will remain. We are delighted Anglia remains our main sponsor and that the name remains on our kit for the 2007/08 season.”
