RHYL 0 THE NEW SAINTS 0

ALTHOUGH Rhyl put up a solid and determined performance against the leaders and reigning champions, a draw did their title hopes no favours.
The 0-0 result means TNS are still three points clear of the Lilywhites with two games in hand.
SOMETHING has to give in tomorrow's Welsh Premier battle of the giants at Belle Vue.
Rhyl are unbeaten in a league match at Belle Vue since October 29, 2005, when Llanelli escaped with a fortunate 1-0 victory.
CONFIDENT TNS manager Ken McKenna admits he cannot wait for tomorrow's top of the table crunch clash at Belle Vue.
McKenna knows victory over Rhyl will virtually guarantee his Saints a third successive league title.
RHYL central defender Adie Moody faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured ankle playing for the reserves in this week's 2-1 win over Glan Conwy.
Moody, 24, was taken off injured in the 32nd minute of the first-half of Tuesday's Welsh Alliance game at Belle Vue. He had received a knock earlier, came off the field temporarily, but then returned to the action only to pull up shortly afterwards.
RHYL'S assistant manager Neil Young insists only three points will do for the Lilywhites when they face Welsh Premier leaders and champions TNS in tomorrow's crunch clash at Belle Vue (Saturday, March 31, 5.15pm kick off).
With John Hulse's side three points behind Ken McKenna's Saints - who have played two games less - Young could not stress enough the importance of a home victory.
GLAN Conwy manager Paul Moroney believes Denbigh Town can pip Rhyl Reserves to the Welsh Alliance League championship.
Despite seeing his team lose 2-1 at Belle Vue on Tuesday night, Moroney thinks the title is heading for Central Park.
RHYL RESERVES 2 GLAN CONWY 1
DAVE Cameron's 80th minute winner secured Rhyl a priceless three points in their quest for the Welsh Alliance title on Tuesday night (March 27).
But Simon Sedgwick side found it tough going against a Glan Conwy outfit which came to Belle Vue determined to claim a big scalp.
RHYL FC is to disband its senior third team but will adopt a new junior side as part of a shake-up in its youth development policy.
The club has announced Rhyl Youth/Thirds, who have played in the Clwyd League Premier Division since 2001/02 and won the championship in 2002/03 and 2003/04, will fold at the end of the season due to lack of interest.
RHYL RESERVES v GLAN CONWY
(Tuesday, March 27, 7.30pm)
RHYL Reserves can go five points clear at the Welsh Alliance summit with victory over Glan Conwy at Belle Vue tonight.
Rhyl v Oldham Athletic
FA Cup First Round Proper - Saturday November 5th 1960

Bonfire night 1960 brought another gala occasion to Rhyl when the Latics of Boundary Park arrived at Belle Vue to take on the Lilywhites in the first round of the F A Cup.
With Rhyl struggling at the wrong end of the Cheshire League at the time with 11 points from 14 games, Oldham were fancied to stroll this tie but the Lilies' famed cup tradition and the backing of a 5,000 strong partisan Welsh crowd combined to ensure that the fourth division side didn't get things all their own way.
